Tell Halaf? The name was fifty years as thoroughly forget that you thought more like a Karnevalsruf as a place of archaeological discoveries. "Tell" means "hill" - and there are many in the Syrian desert. And under the Tell Halaf discovered the self-made scholar Max von Oppenheim in 1899 as pictures gods and animal reliefs, which proved to be milestones in the East archeology. Now the gods from Tell Halaf back - and let a surprised twice.
